 Cigars for Local Heroes (CLH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to honor and support local active-duty military personnel by providing premium cigars. Our mission is to create a personal connection between the community and the heroes serving abroad, while fostering community spirit and showing appreciation for their service. 

 To nominate a local hero, follow these simple steps:

1. Fill out the Nomination Form available on our website or in person at Mr. C's Cigar Lounge.
2. Provide the nominee’s name, rank, military unit, deployment address, and a brief note on why you believe they deserve to be nominated.
3. Submit the form and await confirmation. The nominee will be entered into the next 30-day donation cycle.

  Here’s how you can donate: 

• Donate Cigars: Drop off cigars at Mr. C's Cigar Lounge, donate online through our website, or visit one of the Official CLH Donation Centers (coming soon). 
• Donation Matching: For every five cigars donated, Mr. C’s will match with one additional house cigar.
• 30-Day Donation Cycle: Donations are collected over a 30-day period, after which we ship the cigars to our nominated local heroes.

You can donate premium cigars of any kind, but we recommend cigars that are well-suited for shipping and travel. These can be either individual cigars or box donations. We also encourage cigar brands to participate and get involved! 

At this time, we are focusing on cigar donations to ensure that the care packages align with our mission. However, if you are interested in donating additional items, please contact us directly, and we will discuss possible options. 

Each donation cycle lasts 30 days. After the cycle ends, we pack up all donated cigars, and Mr. C’s will match donations to ensure that all nominated heroes receive a care package. Updates about the cycle and shipping progress will be shared on our website and social media. 

All donated cigars are sent directly to the nominated local active-duty military personnel deployed overseas. They will be shipped with a personalized note from the community showing appreciation for their service.

Yes! While anyone can nominate a local hero, we also offer sponsorship opportunities for individuals or businesses to support the cause. Sponsorship can include donating cigars, providing additional items for the care packages, or contributing funds to help cover shipping costs. 

Donating cigars is free, but we encourage a donation to help with shipping costs. These costs are essential to ensure that the cigars reach our deployed heroes. Additionally, there are sponsorship packages available for individuals or businesses who want to make a larger impact. 

We will send updates via email and on social media throughout the donation cycle. You’ll receive updates on how many cigars were donated, and once the cigars are shipped to the nominated heroes, we’ll share pictures, stories, and thank-you notes. 

 Yes, monetary donations are always appreciated and can be used to help with shipping costs or to buy cigars for donation. You can donate directly on our website through our donation page. 

Donations are tracked in our internal database. Each donation is linked to a nominee and the donor’s contact information. We’ll send receipts for tax-deductible donations when applicable upon request. 

While we take great care in packaging and shipping cigars, CLH cannot be held liable for damages or losses once cigars are in transit. We ship donated cigars in protective packaging to ensure their safe arrival. 

 Absolutely! Businesses are welcome to:

• Sponsor the program: We offer several sponsorship opportunities.
• Host donation drives: Businesses can set up cigar collection stations.
• Donate cigars: Local cigar shops or distributors can donate boxes of cigars or work with us directly.

To become a member of CLH, please fill out our Membership Form. Members receive exclusive updates, invitations to events, and special recognition in our community. Membership helps sustain our mission and extend our reach to more heroes in need. 

CLH is committed to ensuring that our local heroes receive as much support as possible. For every cigar donated by a community member, Mr. C's Cigar Lounge will match the donation with one of their premium house cigars.

• Example: If you donate 5 cigars, Mr. C’s Cigar Lounge will contribute 1 additional cigar, making the total donation 6 cigars for the deployed hero. The cigars must be purchased from Mr. C's. 

The CLH donation cycle is a 30-day period in which we collect cigars and match donations. Here’s how it works:

1. Cycle Starts: The cycle begins when a Local Hero is Nominated.
2. Collection Period: For 30 days, you can donate cigars at Mr. C’s Cigar Lounge, online, or any Official CLH Distribution Center (coming soon).
3. Matching Process: During this period, Mr. C’s will match donations, and all cigars will be stored in our humidor, ready to be sent.
4. Cycle Ends: After 30 days, we package up all donations and send them to our nominated heroes.

 We believe that every donation counts, and by matching your cigars, we amplify the collective impact of the community. This ensures that our local heroes receive a package that reflects the support of many.
